The town of Vinh Long lies on the edge of its principal attraction, the Mekong River. It is situated about midway between My Tho and Can Tho.
The town is a pleasant escape from other Vietnam’s busy cities and the gateway to river islands and some beautiful sites, including the Cai Be floating market, orchards and home stays – which can be a highlight of a Mekong journey.
