Rice Production | Rice-producing Region of the Country | Mekong River Delta

Rice has long been the most important crop in Vietnam and playing the important role in Vietnamese economy. It is involved 70% of the country’s working population. Half of the product and the majority of exports from Vietnam come from the Mekong Delta.

The importance of rice in the diet of the Vietnamese is evident in the many popular rice dishes, including extremely potent rice wine, rice omelet and many more.

Most Vietnam’s restaurants serve white rice with a variety of cooked meat and vegetables, as well as rice noodle soup which made of the rice from Mekong Delta.
