Thuan An beach is located just 30 km from Hue. There are some nice villages along the way, including a well-marked former residence of Uncle Ho in a place called Phu Duong. The beach is 12 km long, about 70 km far from Lang Co beach.

The Thuan An beach is a place where local people gather to enjoy the fresh air and sea bathing in summer time. Besides sea bathing, tourists can visit Thai Duong temple, where Thai Duong Goddess is very esteemed by villagers or visit the temple devoted to the whale, the sacred animal of the local people.
