Wat Phra Non is famed for the huge fish sanctuary that occupies some part of the river and a beautiful shady park which is the main recreational area of the province. The image hall or Wihan of Wat Phra Non houses a special reclining Buddha image, a huge Sukhothai-style reclining Buddha image, which is revered by the local people and renowned for its large size.

The Buddha image here lies supine while most reclining Buddha images lie on one side.
