Phutta Monthon | Buddhist Park | 15.87 m high Buddha Statue | Nakhon Pathom

Founded by the government and the people to commemorate the 2500th year existence of Buddhism, Phutta Monthon in Nakhon Pathom Province is a religious site that occupies a vast area of magnificent landscape.

It contains many interesting structures such as an enormous standing Buddha image of 15.8 meters high, cast in bronze gold, which marks the focal point of the area.

There are four commemoratives sites concerning Lord Buddha’s birth enlightenment, the first preaching sermon, and Nirvana (death) surrounded the Buddha image in the center. There are also a Buddhist museum, meditation halls and a hall keeping marble Pali canon.
