Wat Puen | Buddhist Temple | Luk Son Shrine | Lopburi

Wat Puen is located in northwestern in the ancient city town of Lopburi or the present day Bon Muang Road, Tambon Tha Hin, Amphoe Muang, Changwat Lopburi. A map from 1687 confirms that this area is a temple. It is assumed that its name might be given after Luk Son Shrine, which literally means “arrrow”, It refers to the weapon of Rama influenced by the classical Indian drama of Ramayana.

Buildings in Wat Puen consist of a square based stupa and a rectangular vihara (preaching hall).
