In 1988, several number of prehistoric rock paintings were first discovered on a limestone outcrop at Pratu Pha, some 50 km northeast of the town of Lampang. There are about seven large clusters of images within a stretch of 150 meters, which easily accessible now.

Flights of concrete stairs were constructed through dense bamboo thickets. A large number of superimposition over faded earlier motifs suggest that the rock faces of this Lampang site, as at many sites in Thailand, and each site has attracted artists for many years.
