The central area of Khao Yai National Park covers by tropical moist evergreen forest. The rich diversity of plants (over 2,000 species) astounds the new-comer.

There are towering trees draped in mosses, tangled trunks of the strangling figs, climbers and epiphytes, delicate ferns, drooping lianas and spiny rattan palms, multicolored lichens and an ever-changing array of fungi.
