Birding Highlights | Khao Yai National Park

There are over 320 migrant and resident bird species have been identified living in the park’s lush forest. Among characteristic ones are the Silver and Siamese fireback pheasants, Thick-billed Pigeon, Mountain Imperial Pigeon, Orange-breasted and Red-headed Trogons, Blue-bearded Bee-eater, Greater Frameback Woodpecker, etc.

The park is internationally important for the conservation of globally threatened and endangered mammal, bird and reptile species, among them 19 that are vulnerable, four that are endangered, and one that is critically endangered. There are observation towers at Nong Pak Chee or Mo Sing.
