Situated south of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana is special with a decoration of a delicate three-headed Naga over its caves. Assuming from the main Buddha statue, the temple was built during the Sukhothai period and renovated during the reign of Phraya Lithai. Its Ubosot houses murals in the Ramayana story by local painters who beautified the chapel during the reign of King Rama IV more than a hundred years ago.
Wat Ratchaburana is located on Singhawat Road opposite Wat Nang Phaya, close to Naresuan Bridge.
