Sergeant Major Thawee Folk Museum | Phitsanulok

The private museum collects unique items representing Thai rural life from the last era. The exhibits include ceramics, kitchenware, household items, farming tools as well as many trapping devices. With over 10.000 exhibits, the museum is honored as a treasure of Thai history and local wisdom and was granted a Thailand Tourism Award for Best Conservation. Preservation Organization! in 1998.

The museum was established by Sgi. Maj. Dr. Thavee Buranakhale who is recognized as an outstanding person in the area of sculpture and was granted Honourary Doctorate degrees from Srinakharinwirot University and Silpakorn University. He is renowned for his knowledge on Northern Thai folklore.
