Wat Thammamun Wora Wihan | Buddhist Temple | Chainat | Central Thailand

Wat Thammamul Worawihan is an ancient temple in the province dated back to Ayutthaya period locating in the area of Thammamul Hill. On the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya Ya river at Moo 1, Tambon Thammamul about 8 kms. north of the city.

The main champer of the temple features a secret Buddha statue in the Phang ham Yaad form and artistic creation combining Ayutthaya and Sukhothai influences in the right hand of the Buddha statues hold the wheel of Dhama illustration one of the great characterestic of great man. This particular statue is highly respected and widely worshiped by the natives of Chainat and nearby provinces.
